As I age these traditional jeepneys where you enter or climb up in the back are agonizing and my wife is turning 66 so she won’t ride in them anymore but this modified (I agree Gary mobile junk) jeepneys work, I noticed some happy elderly women riding.
I’m also 5′ 10″ Yack and the current style is tough on me especially when carrying groceries.
When I entered the newer jeepney bus style, I had to start gigglingly and was somewhat impressed by the huge difference and I could tell so were the other passengers and driver, it was an okay experience, no Aircon.
Graham, you couldn’t of said it better the vitriol treatment the tougher rules towards motorcycles, jeepneys, trikes and even the modern 3 wheeled unit’s is apparent at these check point operations and also at times trikes and newer engineered 3 wheeled unit’s banned on the provincial highways (more like roads).
