Low cost of living, easy setting in: Philippines among top expat destinations in 2024 survey

The Philippines and three other Southeast Asian countries have been recognized as top choices for expatriates, according to InterNations’ Expat Insider Survey.

The country ranked third in Ease of Settling In, demonstrating its welcoming and accommodating environment for newcomers.

A significant portion of expatriates in the Philippines reported a high level of satisfaction with their financial situation. Nearly two-thirds of expats indicated that their income exceeds their needs, reflecting the country’s relatively low cost of living.

Housing costs in the Philippines are also affordable, contributing to the overall attractiveness of the country for expatriates. Over 60% of expats found it easy to secure accommodation, surpassing the global average.

These factors, combined with the Philippines’ vibrant culture, friendly locals, and beautiful landscapes, make it a compelling choice for those seeking a new home abroad.
