We Left The US And Now Live Dirt Cheap (But Only Because We Do This)
VIDEO
Ready to leave the US and start a new life living abroad? It sounds great, especially since the cost of living in most of the world is cheaper than the US. But not everyone who moves to a new country is successful at keeping costs down. In this video I will share with you the most important lifestyle adjustment that will accomplish a lower cost of living abroad without sacrificing a high quality of life. I will provide specific examples from Turkey (Türkiye), Malaysia, and Spain.

Everyone lives a different lifestyle, and it's impossible to know exactly how much you would be spending living abroad. Here is our typical monthly spending living in Türkiye (in US dollars, for two people):
$335 Food
$75 Utilities
$45 Eating Out
$20 Transportation
$175 Misc (clothes, home repairs, etc.)
$0 Rent (since we own our apartment)
$650 TOTAL
(This does not include health care, insurance, travel expenses, etc.)

We choose a different charity to benefit for each video we make. For this video we have chosen Kiva. This organization uses crowdfunded microloans as a force for good, expanding financial access for all. If this video earns at least $100 in ad revenue then we will donate $100 to Kiva. Thanks for your support!
