Manila, Philippines is one of the top Global Remote Work Hubs, according to a work and travel platform.

The Nomad List, a platform where 10,000+ members log where they are working, said the country is 7th fastest growing remote work hubs this year.

On Tuesday, the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) said the Philippines posted +78-percent growth based on the country’s five-year growth from 2018 to 2022,

It recorded +60-percent growth for 2023, and posted +1,183-percent growth last year.

The list, which ranks the growth rate of check-ins made by tens of thousands of Nomad list members using live data analyzing 299,498 check-ins, put Ljubljana, Slovenia at 10th place; Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, 9th; Hanoi, Vietnam, 8th; Manila, Philippines, 7th; Montevideo, Uruguay, 6th; Penang, Malaysia, 5th; Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 4th; Seoul, South Korea, 3rd; and Danl Nang, Vietnam, 2nd; and Tokyo, Japan, 1st.

“The Marcos government has been enticing businesses to come to the Philippines, considering the country’s young, highly skilled, and English-speaking workforce,” the PCO said.
