Studying abroad in France

Studying abroad in France  Expat Forum
This September, I will be relocating to France, as part of a Student Exchange initiative, and will be there from September to May/June.

As a EU citizen, I don’t need a visa to travel to France, buy I’m unsure if I need a titre de séjour for my stay there.

On the service-france website they state:

If you are a European citizen and come to study in France, you do not need a residence permit to live in France. However, you can request one.

Is this correct?

Secondly, regarding the health insurance aspect, can I use my UK-issued European Health Insurance Card?

Finally, if I were to open a local bank account, will I have tonclose it once I move back to the UK, or are there ways to keep it open?
