“It scores highly on the Quality of Life Index, cost of living, personal safety reports, and friendliness of locals towards expats,” the experts said.
They added it has a “mild climate and beautiful beaches” and expats can enjoy a “slower pace of life”.
If moving to the country, the experts urged Britons to consider spots such as the Algarve, Cascais and Estoril, Lisbon, Porto and central Portugal.
