The Sofia Richie Grainge Guide to Summer Vacation Packing  Vogue

As a brand new mother, Sofia Richie Grainge may be grounded for a little while, but the star is a veteran when it comes to travel. Last year—while waiting to take off for Milan, where she would find out she was pregnant—Vogue caught up with the newlywed about her packing essentials, nailing holiday style, and the best spas in the world. As vacation season commences in earnest, read all of her tips, below.

It wasn’t just Sofia Richie Grainge’s star-studded nuptials at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in the south of France last year that cemented her status as a paragon of travel. From Greek island hopping, trips to the white-hot sandy beaches of St Barts, and honeymooning in the Maldives, the 25-year-old knows how to curate a holiday.

And we are listening. After all, between her game-changing haircare tips on TikTok (more than 33 million watched her give a masterclass in her signature sleek bun), effortless glam, and styling panache (think: The Row, Khaite, and Chanel), the girl has vacay taste nailed.

Having traveled a lot as a child—which is to be expected when you have an international superstar for a father—Richie Grainge has her routine on lock. “Don’t forget your chargers and always give yourself extra time. Pack accordingly to make yourself a comfy environment on the plane,” she says. Though packing doesn’t always need to be perfect, she adds reassuringly. “If we’re going on a long trip, it’s a free-for-all.”

What’s always in your carry-on?

My Elizabeth W lavender pillow, fuzzy socks, Aquaphor, a phone charger, a book, sunglasses, and my Stanley water bottle.

Your favourite SPF?

Elta MD. It does a high factor and it doesn’t break me out.

And preferred luggage?

Rimowa.

Where is your dream spa?

The Dior spa at Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc is my favorite abroad. Locally, it’s the Rosewood in Montecito for a great facial.

A favorite travel memory?

As a kid, I visited the Four Seasons in the Bahamas every year with my family. It was a really special time to bond.

Who makes the chicest sunnies?

Saint Laurent, always.

How did you decide where to go for your honeymoon?

The Maldives was a place that both Elliot [my husband] and I had never been before and wanted to experience together for the first time.

Any vacation tips you swear by?

When I travel, due to my sensitive skin, I don’t wear any make-up or do my hair. I’m not sure how but I always end up looking crazy. It’s a natural vibe for sure!

Where’s the best beach?

St Barts or Italy.

Recommend a great restaurant.

I love Fleming by Le Bilboquet in New York if you’re looking for a low-key, yummy spot.

The best holiday jewelry?

I love dressing up my casual outfits with fun earrings and, of course, my David Yurman sculpted cable bracelet.
