Festa de Sant Joan – The Biggest Beach Party of The Year!

Every region has a unique way of celebrating the summer solstice. In Barcelona, they lit the streets with bonfires, light shows, and torches. There is also a big party on Barceloneta Beach – a great place to socialize with other visitors and expats if you’re traveling on your own.

This June, the streets of Barcelona will also get busy with car fans. No matter whether you’re into racing or not, come check out the F1 Fan Festival for an unforgettable experience. It’s held in Plaça Catalunya before the actual event and boasts a very packed program, including the F1 Parade when exhilarating cars speed through Passeig de Gracia.

Digital Nomads Weekly Meetup – Biggest Weekly AFTERWORK for Entrepreneurs, Freelancers and Remote Workers

Meat lovers, alert! This June, Moll de la Fusta will into a carnivore paradise. At this weekend-long gastronomy festival, you can look forward to meat delicacies from around the world, great music, beer, cocktails, and of course, the beloved Spanish cava.

Show Up is a global community-driven initiative that helps elevate self-consciousness. They organize various events weekly, such as energizing sessions at the beach with gentle movement, cold dips, and paddle boards, group workouts, or sunset yoga sessions. The tradition of building human towers in Catalonia dates back to the 18th century. It all began in the small town of Valls, roughly 40 km west of Barcelona. Here, the locals started constructing these impressive towers. Over time, different groups, known as “colles,” began to compete in these events, transforming it into a competitive sport as well as an art form.

Those who are into stand-up simply must see a show by Basemint when in Barcelona. They’re held every Sunday in Mint Bar, an underground bar in the heart of the city, and are 100% English-friendly. What’s more, the shows are also very pocket-friendly, especially if you book in advance.

If you are a mindfulness aficionado and are looking for new ways to connect to yourself, try SUCO. This South African movement combines meditation with electronic music and will help you embrace living in the present moment.

Sónar is probably one of the most important electronic music festivals in Europe. And for a good reason. Apart from an amazing line-up, it features mesmerizing audiovisual light shows, parties, and a lot of dancing. All set in the iconic open-air venue Fira Montjuïc.

Don’t expect eggs benedict and mimosas on this brunch, but rather a good portion of electronic music in the beautiful outdoor setting of Parc de la Trinitat. This festival runs regularly on Sunday afternoons in the summer months and hosts many talented artists from around the world.

The Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya is an iconic track and often appears on the bucket lists of all motorsport fans. Come see (and possibly meet if you upgrade your ticket) the F1 drivers from up close to their practice, qualifying, or the race itself.

Barcelona has been a hub for creative culture for centuries. If that’s the reason you’re holidaying in this lovely city in June, make sure you pay a visit to Passeig del Born the last weekend of the month for artsy workshops, craft demonstrations, and an exhibition of products made in the neighborhood of Born.
