What would you do with 120,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points? That’s the question every small business owner should be asking themselves as Chase is still out with a record-setting welcome bonus on the *chase ink preferred*.

You can currently earn 120,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards after spending just $8,000 in the first three months from account opening. Just last year, Chase improved the sign-up bonus on its flagship business card by nearly halving the spending requirement to earn 100,000 points … and now, it’s even better.

Don’t think you are eligible for a business credit card? You might be surprised at the answer!

Beyond an even bigger welcome bonus, the *chase ink preferred* is one of the best business cards out there. It offers a solid ongoing return on spending and strong travel benefits for small business owners. Best of all, the card has a low annual fee of just $95, making it well worth a spot in your wallet for the long run.

Just remember: Credit cards are serious business. You should never apply for a credit card if you’re already in debt and never charge more to a credit card than you can afford to pay off immediately. That’s especially true when looking at business credit cards, as the spending required to earn a big bonus is often much higher than what you will find on everyday consumer cards.

Read on for full details of the Chase Ink Business Preferred and its current limited-time welcome bonus offer.

Chase Ink Preferred Overview

So what makes this card so special? Think of it as the business version of the longtime-favorite *csp*.

First, the card is a good one for racking up Chase Ultimate Rewards points well beyond the initial welcome offer. It earns bonus points in several key business categories, such as travel, shipping expenses, phone & internet bills, and online advertising.

On top of that, it offers some rock-solid travel protections and other benefits for your business. And when it comes time to reap your rewards, the Ink Preferred allows you to redeem Chase Ultimate Rewards in a variety of ways.

For starters, you can use them to book travel at 1.25 cents per point via Chase Travel℠. Better yet, you can send them to any of Chase’s travel partners for even more value. If you use these points towards travel, this huge 120,000-point offer is worth a minimum of $1,500 – if not much, much more.

But if travel isn’t your goal, Ultimate Rewards can also be cashed at a rate of 1 cent per point, applied to your bill as a statement credit, or even used for gift cards.

Here’s a quick overview of the Chase Ink Preferred Card:

  • bonus_miles_full
  • Earn 3x Chase Ultimate Rewards for every dollar spent on travel, shipping, phone, internet, cable, and online advertising with social media sites and search engines, up to $150,000 in combined purchases per year.
  • Earn 1x Chase Ultimate Rewards for every dollar spent on all other purchases.
  • Earn 5x Chase Ultimate Rewards for every dollar spent on Lyft purchases through March 2025.
  • Travel Protections: With the card’s trip cancellation and interruption insurance, you can be reimbursed up to $5,000 per person (or $10,000 total per trip) for pre-paid non refundable travel expenses if your trip is canceled or cut short due to a covered event.
  • Rental Car Insurance: Get primary rental car coverage when you’re renting for business purposes and pay for your rental with the Chase Ink Preferred.

How Good is This Offer?

If you’re eligible for business cards – and odds are, your small business or even a side-hustle qualifies – this is an amazing offer.

Earning 120,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points from one card is unbeatable. Consider this: Back when it launched almost a decade ago, the *chase sapphire reserve* offered 100,000 points (albeit with a smaller spending requirement of $4,000 within three months) – arguably the best-ever welcome bonus on a travel credit card … and one that has never returned. And yet, this one’s even bigger!

At the very least, these points are worth $1,500 in travel booked through Chase Travel℠. But you can squeeze even more value out of your points by transferring them to one of Chase’s travel partners and using them to book an award flight or free hotel stay.

Take a trip to Europe, for example. You can transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards to Spanish flag-carrier, Iberia, to book a lie-flat business class seat to Europe for as low as just 34,000 points one-way.

By the time you complete the spending required to earn this big sign-up bonus, you’ll have nearly enough Ultimate Rewards to fly two people roundtrip to Europe – in business class – for just the cost of taxes and fees. Considering these flights regularly sell for $5,000 or more, I’d say that’s pretty valuable.

And if you time it right, you might even be able to do it for less. Chase occasionally offers transfer bonuses of up to 30% when moving points to Iberia Avios , meaning you could book this same roundtrip business class flight for less than 53,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards. That’s a steal!

Thrifty Tip: Stay current on all the banks’ transfer bonuses with our Current Transfer Bonuses page.

If business class to Europe isn’t what you’re after, you could also transfer these points to Hyatt – the best hotel chain for using points by far – to book some pretty incredible properties.

We stayed at the Park Hyatt Kyoto last fall and loved it. Rooms here go for a pricey 40,000 points per night. After meeting the minimum spending requirement and earning this big bonus, you’d have more than enough points for a three-night stay at this unbelievable property.

Why This Card is Worth Your Attention

The card’s new, limited-time welcome offer is really exciting and easily catapults it to the top of our monthly roundup of the best credit card offers. While the card has always been a good one to have, the bigger bonus offer makes it more appealing than ever.

Given that it’s a business card, it won’t appeal to everyone … but maybe it should: Even if you have just a small business, or plan to start one, you may still be eligible. A part-time side hustle, a freelance job, doing consulting work, or even selling goods on Etsy or Facebook Marketplace are all things that would qualify you for this card.

Given the flexibility of Chase Ultimate Rewards, this is a card that any business owner should want to have in their wallet. And there’s no better time to grab it than right now.

Bottom Line

The Chase Ink Business Preferred Credit Card is the perfect fit for many small business owners – and now there’s more reason than ever to get one, as it comes with a limited-time bonus offer of 120,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points after spending $8,000 in the first three months. Plus, the card’s strong bonus earning and travel protections make it a keeper for the long term.

If you’d been eyeing this card and all it has to offer, now’s the time to apply – we don’t expect this bigger bonus to be around for much longer.
