In an X post Tuesday, the South Carolina Department of Public Safety (SCDPS) reminded the public that the safest option for travel in the snow and ice is to avoid travel altogether.

The post asks “everyone to avoid travel” as conditions “are expected to worsen throughout the evening hours.”
