With summer fast approaching, many Brits are eager to book their next vacation in search of sunshine. For those looking to indulge in a luxurious getaway, a new study has identified the most affordable European country for a lavish five-star experience.
Kinglike Concierge analysts conducted a comprehensive study using four key factors to determine the country that offers the best value for high-end travel. These factors include the cost of a five-star hotel stay, business class return flights, the average price of a spa treatment, and the typical cost of a Michelin-starred dining experience.
After analyzing the data, Spain emerged as the most budget-friendly luxury destination. The total cost for these factors came to £858, making Spain the most affordable option among popular European destinations.
Spain attracts over 85 million visitors annually, and according to Booking.com, the lowest price for a seven-night stay in a five-star hotel during peak months (July, August, and September) is £376.
When flying business class from London, the average fare is £412, based on information from Kayak. For those seeking relaxation, the average cost of a massage in Spain is £70, and a Michelin-star meal can be enjoyed for around £128.
In contrast, Malta was found to be the most expensive for a five-star vacation, followed closely by Switzerland. Turkey emerged as the least expensive for five-star accommodation, with some hotels offering stays as low as £260 per week.
Belgium topped the list for the most affordable return business class flights, while Turkey provided the best deals for high-end spa treatments. Additionally, Malta stood out as the least expensive destination for a Michelin-starred meal, with an average cost of £104.
